If you would like to "light a candle" for any of our church services, please donate to the Cathedral by clicking the link below. You are welcome to donate any amount you like but our candles are: $1, $3, $5, $20. In the notes section of the payment, please list "in health" names so they may be read. Syllogos 100
In 2001, the Cathedral of Saint Markella started the organization Syllogos 100. The objective of this organization was to assist in the completion of the Cathedral construction and in obtaining the Certificate of Occupancy for the building. With the help of many generous donations, Syllogos 100 raised over $150,000 and accomplished this goal.
Since then, its purpose has been to help raise funds for the beautification of the Cathedral. Members of Syllogos 100 have raised funds for the iconography, the icon screen and the church façade, proving that this organization is, without a doubt, one of the most successful in the history of the Cathedral.
It is with heartfelt pride that we announce the solicitation of members for Syllogos 100. This exclusive organization is composed of people who support the operation of the Cathedral and are considered founders of the church. As such, they are commemorated during every Divine Liturgy. Members of Syllogos 100 commit to a donation of $100 per month for 10 months for a total of $1,000 per year.
These funds all go towards the renovation of the façade and other items necessary for the functioning of the religious life of the Cathedral. Enclosed is an application for the coming year, as the program will continue in 2019. Please consider becoming a member of Syllogos 100, and join in our effort to complete our work.
